FAQ: I don't agree with the certification decision, what can I do about it?
If a candidate encounters an issue related to their exam session, or any other step in the certification process that could impact the certification decision, they have the option to file an Appeal for reconsideration.
What is an appeal?
An appeal is a formal request to review a decision made by the Accreditation Institute regarding a candidate’s certification status. Appeals can be filed if a candidate believes that there was an error or irregularity in their exam session or any other step in the certification process that could have affected their certification decision.
Who can file an appeal?
Any candidate who has received a certification decision and believes that there was an error or irregularity that could have affected their certification status may file an appeal.
What are the grounds for an appeal?
There are a number of grounds on which a candidate may appeal their certification decision. These include, but are not limited to:
- Technical issues during the exam session
- Issues with an exam question
- Other irregularities in the certification process
